Blue Ridge Family Physicians employs a diverse staff of qualified healthcare professionals. Each employee actively supports the providers' efforts in providing quality health care services. The staff consists of the following positions:

Melissa Reed, M.D.
Dr. Reed earned her medical degree from Oregon Health & Sciences University in Portland, Oregon. She is originally from North Carolina and obtained her undergraduate degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she graduated with a BS in Public Health with a concentration in nutrition.


She also earned a Master in Public Health at UNC-Chapel Hill in Maternal and Child Health. She completed her residency training in Family Medicine at UNC-Chapel Hill and is board-certified in Family Medicine. Her professional interests include women's health, pediatrics, dermatological procedures and preventative medicine. She is a native Spanish speaker.
